Since updating to iOS 14.6, my phone has not been playing nice with Windows. When I plug it in to my PC via USB, I navigate to the DCIM folder to look at my photos, but whenever I open a photo using Windows' Photos app, it's extremely blurry. If I then exit the image, all the rest of the photos on the phone then start giving me an error in Windows that says "Sorry, Photos can't open this file because the format is currently unsupported, or the file is corrupted." These are jpgs so they're definitely supported, and if I cut and paste them into a local folder on my PC without opening them on my phone first, they appear normally, so they're definitely not corrupted either.
I have 14.8 but have the very same problem. Trying to download photos for work and they are blurry and when I try to open they give me the same message. You would think that a multitude of responses and complaints would resolve the issue - that does not appear to be the case.

To play all your images in a folder as a slideshow, just open the first image. If you see a pop-up asking you which program you want to use, select Photos, then click OK. Adjusting the display settings slider bar down to 100% to actual size will eliminate scaling, but will also make your content take up less space on your desktop - and it will also make all the text appear smaller, which may be an issue for those users who have difficulty reading smaller text. To adjust the display scaling in WIndows 10: - Right click on your desktop, and select "Display settings" - In the "System - Display" window that opens, pull the slider "Change the size of text, apps, and other items:" to adjust the scaling percentage (%) - Make a note of the original scaling %, and then adjust to see what % looks best to you - Remember that any setting above 100% may result in blurriness or fuzziness in certain applications
Display scaling is a preference, some may like the larger "scaled" content that 125% or 150% provides. While others may like the crispness and extra desktop space of viewing content at the original 100% actual size. 2) SOLUTION 2 - if you prefer the 125% or 150% display scaling setting, but are having particular issues such as fuzzy/blurry text or photos in the scaled content in certain applications - you can disable the display scaling for that individual program or application. To disable the display scaling for a particular program, find the executable file (the .EXE file) for the actual program itself (rather than merely the shortcut for the program). Navigate to the folder for the executable file listed in the shortcut's target path -- the actual program will often be located in a sub-folder of C:\Program Files - or - C:\Program Files (x86) For example - Chrome may be located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe Right click on the executable program file icon and select "Properties" On the popup window that opens, navigate to "Compatibility" tab Under "Settings" section - click on the check box that says "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" Hit "OK" button. Restart the application if you had it open. Once you do this, the particular application will no longer use display scaling. You would need to repeat these steps for every application that you prefer not to use display scaling on. Hope these tips and instructions help you with your display scaling issues. Remember that when you enlarge or scale photos greater than 100% of the original size, the content will likely appear less sharp or slightly blurry.
@SophieSue We are experiencing the same issue. Photos show up perfectly in Yammer's stand-alone application, but the SharePoint Conversations webpart shows all photos as blurry. Is this normal and expected behavior?

I've noticed this for awhile, all of my images I insert into this Storyline 3 course appear quite blurry everywhere - on the Storyline development screens, when previewed and when published (either as HTML5 or Flash).
The images are all smaller than the maximum size, they are at 100% scaling, have no effects applied to them. My Publish settings is set to 100% quality. I've tried bitmaps, pngs, jpgs, all identical blurry results.
Sorry - it's just odd to hear about image degradation coming from scaling an image down in size (assuming you maintain exact aspect ratios). AFAIK it has always been best practice when dealing with images to scale down but NEVER up or you will greatly impact the images quality - so i was shocked to hear that scaling an image down in Storyline results in blurry images.
Publishing as HTML5 Only. When I test Chrome on a Mac, my hi-res images look beautiful. Chrome on PC is incredibly blurry. Does that make sense? We really would prefer the users have the ability to scale down, since we have a variety of different desktops and laptops staff will be viewing on. If we have to aim with the lower resolution in mind, then images are going to look really awful on larger monitors. Chrome is our organizations browser of choice, so instructing them to use a different browser for this one purpose is going to be tough. Thank You!!!
